What moment from your day stands out the most? Why?

Katie: Undoubtedly, the ceremony was the highlight of the day and my life thus far. There was something so truly magical about the experience of solidifying your love before your family and friends… and really everyone you know and love from all chapters of your lives intersecting in one moment in time to celebrate this most special of life’s occasions.

Jonathan: The reveal (first look) was amazing. There wasn’t a standout moment. The entire day was magnificent.

Do you have any advice for brides- and grooms-to-be about planning a wedding?

Katie: No advice per se, just simply to enjoy every singular moment as the day truly passes so quickly. Also, to relish the moment with your partner as it is so easy to get pulled in different directions that day saying thanks yous and hellos and goodbyes.

Jonathan: I think I did a good job, I stayed out of the planning as much as possible.

How did you meet?

Katie: We met socially, through mutual friends. Each of us knew of one another as my Dad and his Mom had been friends for over 50 years. I had met his parents, and he mine…but never had met each other. We both had moved in and out of town for college and graduate school with our paths never crossing until just before our first date.

What were your first impressions of each other?

Katie: I definitely had preconceived ideas about who I thought he was, but the minute I sat across the table from him, he had an inherent kindness that really just captured me.

Jonathan: I thought Katie was beautiful and very elegant. I was sure she would have zero interest in me.

Katie, when you think of Jonathan, what word first comes to mind?

Katie: Kind. Generous. Love.

Jonathan, when you think of Katie, what word first comes to mind?

Jonathan: It’s cheesy, but the word “smile” always comes to my mind. Two reasons; first, she has the most amazing smile… Second, no matter what’s happening in my day, I feel relaxed and it brings a smile to my face when I see or think of her.
