Hayley & Dee, Bacara Resort, CA
At Bacara Resort in idyllic Santa Barbara, Hayley and Dee were surrounded by their loved ones who had come from near and far to celebrate their union. After an Indian ceremony and rehearsal dinner the day before, there had already been plenty of celebrating. With all the excitement and emotion, this day passed especially quickly for Hayley. “I was surprised by how fast Saturday went by,” she says. “Everyone tells you this but it’s beyond anything you can imagine.”
Despite this, the day was of course, unforgettable. With the sweeping Pacific Ocean behind them, Hayley and Dee exchanged vows that had everyone in tears. “Looking around and realizing everyone is there to support your love is one of the most special feelings I’ve ever experienced!” expresses Hayley.
Details Details and Shawna Yamamoto Event Design created a romantic setting for the entire day. At the reception, there were plenty of white roses that dotted the tabletops and grew along an ivy-covered wall behind the bridal party. The design perfectly captured the sweet connection between Hayley and Dee, and the love they have for all of their family and friends. It was a weekend full of meaning and memories that will last.
With so many activities and events over the course of those two days, Hayley by now is a seasoned pro at being a bride. She advises brides-to-be to check out of planning mode and allow the professionals take over so that you can be totally present. “Whether it’s family, friends or a planner, let other people take over responsibilities. This will also help you not notice when things go wrong (and if you don’t know, that probably means your guests don’t know and no need to stress out over it) and simply enjoy the party!” It was clear that Hayley and Dee – as well as every guest in attendance – were able to do just that.
