Emily & Stephen’s Wedding Film
I was honored to film Emily & Stephen’s wedding in New York City a couple of weekends ago along with the rest of the ILS crew – Ira, Nate, and Joanna on photo, and our production manager Adrian Totolici on timelapse. It has been such an honor over the past years of my life to be working with such a great team – and during this season of thankfulness I’m particularly mindful of how blessed I am to have true friends as colleagues.
Stephen and Emily’s wedding was honestly so memorable for me. Their genuine affection and love for each other – as well as their clearly loving tight-knit families made it an honor to document such an important day.
Watch the film – you’ll see that it’s quite a spectacular event. I mean, what a beautiful, whimsical, fantastic setting for a wedding – the New York Museum of Natural History! But what was so great is that it wasn’t all about the space and decor (which were handled masterfully by Tracy Taylor Ward) – it was about commemorating a truly loving relationship with the many friends and family that have contributed towards Emily and Stephen’s lives and helped make them the people they are.
It’s hard to not get jaded when you’re shooting weddings as often as we are. But part of what gives us energy and gets us going is seeing such generosity and authenticity at events like these – and that was felt deeply at Stephen and Emily’s wedding. Super excited to share a short teaser here.
Thanks to Frank Maldonado for second camera, Adrian Totolici for timelapse, Jennifer Trahan and Alexis Silver assisting.
