Asya & Michael, Greenwich Polo Club, CT
Little girls often grow up dreaming of and planning their wedding day. They stand in front of the mirror, dressed up in their mother’s clothing, and imagine what that future day might be like. Asya returned to that very spot in her family home to prepare for the day that she once only dreamt about. She slipped into her Mira Zwillinger gown in her childhood bedroom with the help of her mother and sister, which we imagine must have felt so nostalgic, and a bit surreal!
Michael greeted Asya for their first look outside, and for their portraits, pulled on some rubber boots and made the trek through the woods, down to the dock by the lake. This is where the two of them love to go to be alone together and spend the day fishing – a meaningful place to begin their wedding day.
The ceremony and reception were held at the Greenwich Polo Club, which is nearby Asya’s family home. After being wed under bundles of white hydrangeas, Asya & Michael, surrounded by their loved ones – many of whom made the long trip out from Russia – began the celebration. Many of the ingredients used for the drinks at their cocktail hour were sourced from Michael’s organic farm, adding a personal touch. True Event created a lovely day, personalized so well to the happy couple, made complete with a gorgeous cake from Sylvia Weinstock.
Asya & Michael, we wish you every happiness!
