The romance began early on Mackenzie & Adam’s special day. In separate rooms at the Bowery Hotel, the couple prepared for the day and opened wooden boxes they had made for each other, filled with photos of them together, meaningful gifts, and their vows. Mackenzie received a card stating, “I Married Up,” and Adam, “You’re My Everything,” which was printed above a bagel – summing up the sweet playfulness and sentimentality of Mackenzie & Adam’s relationship.
Mackenzie and Adam were married at the Bowery Hotel, where light pours in through the floor to ceiling windows. Wearing a beautiful Ines di Santo gown, tears streamed down Mackenzie’s face as her father walked her down the aisle. It was a ceremony rife with emotion, and plenty of laughter, too.
The newlyweds dined with their loved ones at communal tables, reinforcing the feeling of family and community. The Bowery Hotel perfectly embodied this atmosphere, with the warmth of it’s exposed brick walls, hanging lanterns, and velvet drapery. Anjé Soirees, with the help of Matthew Robbins Design, added all the right touches to make this a truly lovely event; sterling silver vases brimmed with roses and poppies, the room flickered with candlelight, and a table at the center was decked with desserts and a wedding cake.
It was clear on this day that Mackenzie and Adam’s relationships with family and friends are the fabric of their own. We were so moved by the substance of their connection, and are honored to have been given the privilege of capturing their special day.
Congratulations, Mackenzie & Adam!
