Amanda & Robert, Garden City Hotel, NJ
When planning your wedding, what was the most important thing for you as a couple?
Amanda: While planning our wedding we had a series of elements that were important to us. However I think above all, a romantic and heartfelt ceremony that would leave an impression on our family and friends and a celebration (party) to follow that they would never forget. Good food, great music and an ambiance that captured a “wow” factor!
What moment from your day held the most significance for you?
Amanda: The ceremony, after all it’s why we are doing it right? Although we had a big Italian wedding of over 300 guests, the ceremony felt intimate and “we felt the love.” Also my brother officiated our wedding. We worked hard putting it all together and it was a part of the wedding in particular we were very proud of.
What was the first thought that crossed your mind the morning of your wedding day? What were you feeling?
Amanda: I was ready and excited. I just couldn’t wait to get the day started and to see Rob. I felt like each minute was dragging prior to our big reveal.
Robert: My first thought when I woke up was, “Let’s Do This!”. I was extremely excited, and rather energetic regardless of only sleeping a few hours the night before. The excitement and anticipation of seeing Amanda overcame any other feelings that morning.
Do you have any advice for couples who are planning their wedding?
Both: To enjoy it! Not to get caught up in the what you’re “supposed to do.” We spent every single moment on the dance floor because that’s what made us happy. Try not to stress out over things you can’t control, and enjoy what you can. The wedding day moves fast, so have fun during the time leading up to it and when the wedding comes, just simply embrace every moment of that special day and night. We truly did!
Amanda what are three qualities you admire most about Robert?
Amanda: His patience, kindness and sense of humor. In our vows I wrote that his patience teaches me to be a better woman, I mean it.
Robert, what are three qualities you admire most about Amanda?
Robert: Her family values, generosity and her encouraging ability to motivate people to find love, happiness and success in their lives.
Robert, if Amanda was famous, what would she be famous for?
Robert: I think she’d be a famous talk show host. Her witty, out-going and inquisitive personality always make for engaging and entertaining conversation.
Amanda, if Robert was famous, what would he be famous for?
Amanda: Rob would be famous for one of his many inventions. I can’t divulge those here, cause hey, you never know! But Rob always has an idea. He is innovative, detailed and thorough, and constantly discussing how to improve efficiency.
