Jason Walker – About
In 2005, with a BFA in photography from the Savannah College of Art and Design, Jason and his lovely wife, and fellow photographer Rebecca moved to New York City. With a lot of hard work, and a little bit of charm, Jason became a sought after camera and lighting assistant to some of the world’s leading photographers in fashion, portraiture, and advertising. With the guidance of talented photographers such as Annie Leibovitz, Paola Kudacki, Marco Grob, Eric Ogden, etc., Jason learned to quickly intuit the best possible light for any subject and scenario; whether it be Gisele Bündchen in a studio, wearing lingerie, or Barack Obama in the White House, wearing a suit. Jason has an uncanny ability to set people at ease, and find humor, in otherwise tense and potentially awkward situations.
Working as both photographer and/or cinematographer, Jason has collaborated with IZOD, W Magazine, Sony Music, Penguin Clothing, Jägermeister, GQ, Under Armour, Entertainment Weekly, Etc., shooting everything from backstage at NY Fashion Week, to backstage at the Westminster Dog Show. Jason explains that wedding photography means more to him than a business endeavor, or even an artistic endeavor; rather, it is an endeavor of the heart. Through his education in fine arts, 15yrs of experience, and hundreds of thousands of photographs, Jason has developed an artistic sensibility and technical proficiency which allows him to be truly present on the wedding day, documenting the essence of each moment.
A Wedding Package – including proof book, final album, prints and archival image disc – is available for $12,000. For more info, and to check Jason’s availability, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
